Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

2013 edition with a best before date of 31/12/2018. Blew up on me when opened and went all over the place. What was left from it was cloudy amber with lots of sediments floating around. Foamy light-brown head, lasting long enough and with thick soapy lacing. Fruity aromas with apples, mild peaches, caramel, yeast and the sugar. Not as sweet for the taste, but the apples and caramel are present. Some decent smooth bitterness and grass flavours in the finish. Well-brewed, but not something I would have again (not my style).

A muddy brown colored beer with a huge sudsy textured, light tan head rising above. There's good hang time on that head. Settles into a thick ringlet and light cap. Intense nose. The total profile is sour-sweet mix of fruits and some spices. Bready malt provides a backdrop. Full bodied, alcohol kick.

A cloudy brown color with a white head. This one was like a well seasoned porn star......a GUSHER! Still cleaning up. Aroma contains some nutmeg, caramel, yeast and dough. The flavor is very nice with some caramel, raisin, toffee, and sour apple. The finish is a little spicy. This hides the alcohol well. Im a fan of this.

Bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Also sampled at Olympen, Oslo. ABV is 10%. Orange colour, moderate white head. The aroma has notes of Belgian ale yeast, some fruity and spicy notes, hints of brettanomyces / farmhouse. The flavour is sweet and spicy, noticeable hops in the finish. Quite good.

Pours a lovely hazy golden amber with a lot of tiny goobers floating in it and a VERY thick just off white head. Aroma is mainly yeasty with spicy and floral hints. Flavor is yeasty and fruity and a little spicy - mainly cinnamon - with a good strong alcohol bite. Texture is smooth and quite fizzy. Happy Holidays!

This Belgian Triple pours a medium orange color from the bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, little bit of funk and some candi sugar. A medium bodied triple. The malts are fruity and sweet. lots of orange and spice. Touch of funk and yeast. Nice beer. Hides the 10% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle courtesy of fonefan: Poured a deep dirty beige color ale with a huge foamy head with perfect retention and some great lacing. Aroma of fruity (peach) ester with a spicy peppery yeast. Taste is also a mix between the very nice fruity ester and the peppery yeast with a dry hoppy finish. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Maybe a touch too sweet for my personal tastes but a very good example of the style nonetheless.

Bottle from SL. The pour was pale and hazy yellow/golden, sparkling carbonation, nice initial white head, thinning to a thin covering, steady lacing, nothing fancy, though. The aroma was candied apples and grapes, some floral lavendar/spicing aspects, light grass. Flavor followed suit, candied apples and grapes, grass, faint yeasty notes, dry finish, well attenuated. Sweet-sour interplays going on, far from sweet and cloying, dryness and tartness both keeping things a little balanced. A nice strong golden ale, imo.

Cloudy golden aappearance with a rich white head. Euch and full aroma of Seville, oranges, sweet red apples, honey and apricts with some subtle dryish sensations of mild coriander and pepper. The mouthfeel is smooth and soothing. Long but mild and well-balanced finish of oranges and vanilla.
