Fall Fest has a medium, off-white head and a clear, orange-amber appearance. Carbonation is moderate, with minimal lacing. The aroma is faint, and really, almost nonexistent. Taste is sweet, and some slight barley can be detected, with a mild hop aftertaste. Mouth-feel, as with most Abita products is watery. Although this is on the bland side, it's an okay beer.

Bluesandbarbq sent me this one. Don't find many Abita beers around here. The only really strong presence in this beer was a very sticky aftertaste. Copper color, some lacing left on the glass, which is weird because there really wasn't much of a head on this one. Some way too sticky malt flavors and a barely noticeable citrus hops flavor drowning at the bottom.

Clear deep golden pour. Nice tight fluffy white head. Little lacing. Almost stale malty aroma, like wet Wheaties, little hops in the nose. Taste is a bit better than the aroma: lightly sweet malts, thinnish mouthfeel, weak hops. FAIL. Falls way short as an Oktoberfest compared to their German and strong domestic counterparts. Abita is hit and miss with me; some I really like, others, No.

A hazy amber colored beer with a medium soapy textured white head rises above. It settles fairly quickly into a spotty film and light ringlet. The nose is all sweet malt. The tasting throws in a citrusy hop....not overpowering but there. The body is light medium and creamy. Hey I could see myself drinking a few of those with some brats at an Oktoberfest party.

Fall fest from Abita, brown 12 oz twist off cap bottle. The bottle is short and stubby like other Abita beers I’ve sampled. This has some stiff competition for the style, including hacker. Twist off the cap to reveal aroma of sweetness hint, background of a strong ale and typical festive smell. Clear brownish light yellow, the head is small and white, and then rapidly fades to leave a ring on the top. Taste has a nice impact, not overwhelming with alcohol, but it does let you know it is there. Lager with personality. The end leaves a shallow bite on the palate and the ol’ uvula senses a hint of bitterness tho relatively mild and acceptable for this style. Well behaved and enjoyable. This is a good beer but I rate the following October fests higher; Hacker, Hofbrau & Schell. This is on par with; Penn, City, Victory & Flying Dog.

Call me a looney tune but I expect my o-fests to not be golden in color. Well this is. The aroma sucks with some caramel notes but alot of corn. The flavor is malty with some caramel, corn, and oddly grassy notes. It’s like they tried to doctor up a pale lager to call it an o-fest. Pass!

Clear copper in color with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet and roasty. Cloves, apple, and caramel in both the aroma and the taste. Light and slightly bitter flavor with nutty and malty hints. Overall not a bad beer.

A decent brew--copper color with malty, sweet aroma. Detect some caramel in the malty flavor and it finishes with a little bitterness. Tasty but nothing special.

The aroma of this one is very sweet and malty, as well as, bready-like with maybe some very slight bitter notes. The appearance is a rusty orange to copper amber in color with a medium sized head that diminishes leaving uneven lacing on the glass that is off-white in color. The mouthfeel is light to medium in body with decent malty complexity and has relatively good balance with a pallet that is a bit thin. The flavor is very sweet and malty with some breadiness and faint hops with an aftertaste that is strange and is bitter to sour-like and almost unpleasant with a finish that is refreshing and pretty good but a bit watery. Overall, this is not a bad oktoberfest but I have had much better and the sourness factor is strange but, nonetheless, this is a brew to sample and to experience. Also, this one seems a bit too bitter for the style but, afterall, it is an American representation.

Pours a copper body with a little head. It Has a distinct fall aroma. Lighter boded, with a maltier mouthfeel and a hint of leaves. Finishes a little sweet with an accent of squirrels gathering nuts.
