A strong, but well balanced winter warmer, this ale has extreme complexity made for a holiday feast. The addition of Raisins and Molasses in the brewing process produces unusual spiced rum like flavors to go along with the well balanced malt and hops. No Chemicals, Additives or Preservatives.

Poured a reddish amber color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of chamomile, smoke, roasted malt, and caramel. Taste of more roast, caramel malts, tropical fruits, cloying sweet molassas, and chewy raisins (not enjoyable) and a bitter, grapefruit, hop finish.

Tap, color and consistency of turbid water, very small off-color head. Aroma is very strong and earthy, definate raisin aroma and flavor, tastes as if aged in wine barrels, fantastic flavor - although not the best for somewhat warm evenings, would be better served during the dead of winter. I like this one, and will get it again (if the chance arises) in colder climates.
