Mahogany colored beer with a fairly big cream-white, sudsy head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet is left. What I got in the profile was a burned woodsiness. Thick, slick body, I couldn't finish it.

kinda average for a scotch ale. good use of the sweet and peaty malts, but it was a touch light and the hops were a distraction. i was surprised that this beer mixed with a barrel aged IRS was sooooo good.

Tasted on firkin at the 4th Annual Firkin Gravity Festival. This scotch ale pours a medium brown color. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel and malty. A medium bodied Scotch Ale. Malts are malty, caramel and sweet. Hops are earthy. Fairly sweet, very smooth taste. Soft carbonation. Nice balance. Touch of wood and peat. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a copper color with a medium sized, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, light peat, nuts, and light roast. Taste of caramel and smoked malts, nuts, light alcohol, and faint citrus hoppiness.
