Abbey 6 is what people in Belgium would call an abbey "single" typically at any of the five trappist monastaries in Belgium. The single is the beer that the monks drink due to its lower alcohol, and drinkability. Amber in color, medium bodied, fruity, and malty sweet. Poured an amber color with a small, light tan head that quickly diminished, leaving faint spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of clove, banana, caramel malts, bubble gum, and light yeast as well. Taste of grains, more caramel malts, some clove, banana, bubblegum and citrus fruits as well. Quaffability is very high, though it could have been because I was pissed off. I called the new Malvern location before I left my house, and was told this was on tap, however that was not the case 1/2 hr later when I got there... So I had to drive another 1/2 hr down to the original location. I guess they’re still working out the kinks.
