    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours barely translucent cola brown with a thick but not long-lasting eggshell head. Aroma features raspberry overtone plus notes of roast malt and chocolate. Flavor brings out more malty and chocolate notes, as well as woody hops and a little coffee. Mouthfeel presents good body and plenty of fizz. Feast with fools - and sages.

Poured a dark brown / black color with a medium sized tan head that quickly diminished, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste of more chocolate, with roast, and a dry, raspberry finish.

Well i think this ones score is a little low due to the beer being to old. Started out well with a pour that was dark black nice head which laced very well. Aroma was also good strong chocolate and raspberries. that is where the good stopped. Flavor was off, metallic almost bitter chocolate and raspberries.

Well, it hurts to kill this one, since the bottle is from 2004 (Holiday Stout) and it is now only Feb 06. But, what can I do, extrapolate the experience 12 mos? Pour was great, pitch dark black with a very generous and fluffy pillowy head. Lacing was quality. Aroma was of chocolate and raspberries, very nice. Flavor was oxidized, metallic, and bitter chocolate with raspberry detectable. Maybe some coffee in there. This reminded me of the unimpressive Weyerbacher Raspberry Impy (less of a burden on the liver, though, and out of its prime, though). Mouthfeel was acidic. Would have been nice to try this a bit more fresh, but oh well. I guess they're done with these special bottles, though, due to financial unprofitability.
