tasted more like a double...and had the -ator suffix to boot. i heard they had to discontinue this as it used Ahhhhhhnold's likeness on the label...Terminator style. A pretty good malty beer, whatever the case may be. Don't think it's been available for a while.

What is this...?? A bock that I really like drinking....?? The folks at Lagunita's never cease to amaze me.

Since I'm not normally a fan of the style, all I can do is judge this on personal taste. And my taste buds say that this is a very nice beer, regardless of style. Nice dark malty appearence, and even nicer nose.

But of course what makes or breaks a beer is how it tastes. And I really dig the mellow malt, with enough hops to balance things out. Reminds me of a well-made Alt, but with even more malt in the front.

Alcohol makes it's prescence known, and that's a good thing for what amounts to a Winter Warmer for Lagunitas. As such, I doubt I would want to drink this all night long. But for a 22-oz bottle, this is a dandy beer for a change of pace from my usual near-constant intake of IPA's.... :)

Dark brown color, large head. Very rich roasted malts. Very full mouthfeel, nearly chewy. Slightly sweet, good hop taste. Smooth. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is bitter and slightly malty
