Poured an opaque black color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malts, light vanilla and smoke. Taste of roasted malts and chocolate, light vanilla beans, more smoke and a dry bourbon bite in the end.

Another fine seasonal offering from Stewarts. I sampled this from two of my dad's pints and it was a fine offering. Poured dark brown with smallish creamy head. Left a little lacing on the glass. This is the first beer I could taste where I could really taste the alcohol (bourbonesque taste, go figure) that I really enjoyed. It's a souped up version of the Highlander Stout (which is also quite tasty, imo). Strong roasted malt with coffee flavor balanced quite nicely. If you are a Stout guy in the Newark/Bear, DE area, go grab one of these quickly before they are gone.
