A fairly big stout from none other than McMenamins. Brownish black, large tan head. Nose is pretty dank. Notice that boozy character right up front. Chocolate, burnt toast and firm hoppy bite on the finish. It's a pretty hearty stout that demands a little bit of time consuming it.

one of their best, this beer has a highlt roasted chocolate aroma, medium bodied and slightly dry, with nice balance between ample hops and roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of dark fruit, & nuts. Not quite a standout, but close.

Comes out of the tap an opaque chocolaty sable with a thick, fine-bubbled tan head that sticks around a while and leaves some heavy lacing. Rich, smoky, chocolaty aroma has undertone of quality coffee and hint of licorice. Flavor fills the mouth with fine roast coffee, chocolate, molasses and even hoppy tones as well as a licorice hint. Thick, smooth, oily texture has some fizz and leaves behind a nice smoky tingle.

What I don't understand about this stout is how light it feels. The porter was even worse. The flavor is kind of chocolatey with licorice and malt. Not very dry but I enjoyed it for the most part. Couldn't really make out the color very well in the bar.

This one would definitley fall under the dry stout category for me. A black appearance with a coffee and charcoal aroma. The flavor is somewhat bitter with some coffee and licorice notes. The mouthfeel is rather light. No sweetness to be found in this one. Overall a pretty good stout.

Dark, but not really black. I can see a ruby red glittering through the middle from a distance. The head is a yellow tan, a bit fizzy and short lived. The aroma is roasty, but little else. The flavor is a bit cola-like, a bit of smoke, a little chocolate and nuts. Interesting but a bit thin.

Pours with a black body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet yet sour and malty with a slight roastiness and a little coffee. Full bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Dark black color. Medium head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malts. A full bodied stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee. Hops are mild and slightly bitter. Well balanced. A nice easy drinking and smooth tasting stout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and slightly dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Chocolate/coffee aroma & flavors make this a tasty stout. Very smooth drinky.

First review was for another brew.. Terminator so here goes.. After a long wait for the cascade to stop the beer appears to be a deep dark mahogany topped with a fabulous massive tan head..very nice to look at! Nice aroma of roasted barleys and chocolate..some honey too! MMM this is a rather odd ( but not unpleasant) taste for a stout..its actually quite sweet in a honeyish sort of way..but still the dark chocolate malts and the roasted barley show through..and after there is a good bitterness..pretty unusual but I like this. Very smooth and pleasant on the tongue though it is a little on the thin side for a stout. A pretty good drinkable stout though maybe the sweetness would put some off.
