Discovery has a very smooth, round taste. The aftertaste is one of the best & smoothest out there, with a small hint of caramell. Easy to drink for beginners, as well as a real treat for the more experienced drinker. One of the finest ales out there.

Nice white foam, but it does not last for long. Golden and bright color.Aroma is malty and fruity, really nice. Taste is refreshing and a little bit sweet. Nice beer.

Clear golden with a low white head. Sweet aroma of diacetyl with a light note of lemon-zest. Sweet malty flavour of biscuit, honey and butter with faint notes of soily hops. Mellow aftertaste of butter and white bread.

Lovely golden head, with big creamy white head. Flowery and kind of perfumed aroma with hints of caramel. Flavour is hoppy, papery and malty. Some weak caramel also there. Aftertaste is mainly bitterish hoppy and kind of papery. Mouthdrying. (bottled) 6 6 6 6 6

Dark golden colour, big bubbly head. Bitter fruity aroma. Fruity flavour which grows into a huge hoppy finish. Very smooth. Gets more pleasant as you drink. Also some caramellish/honeyish notes in flavour. (casked) 7 6 8 8 7

Cask conditioned at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Fullers have finally "discovered" that golden ales have been in demand for a number of years. This is their attempt at this style. Golden colour, low head. Moderate hops in aroma and flavour, but nothing special here. Disappointing. Rerate, 330 ml brown bottle, from Maxi Stormarked, Sandnes. ABV is 4.2%. Golden colour, moderate head. Moderate fruity hops in the aroma, some notes of toffee and buttered toast too. The flavour has moderate malts and fruity hops (hints of oranges), with just a very moderate bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong with it, but doesn’t blow your socks off.

Bottle. Golden colour with slim white head. Sweet and malty aroma. Light, malty honey taste. It need more hops (and alcohol). Light mouthfeel. Quite drinkable. Decent enough.
