Blanche du Paradis is a Belgian-style Wit brewed with coriander seeds and Curaçao orange peels, the spices traditionnally found in this classic style. Unfiltered and containing almost as much raw wheat as malted barley, it presents a veil of yeast and proteins giving this style its "Blanche" name. Round and light at the same time, it exhales fresh baked bread aromas, and reveals spices and citrus flavours, accompanied by subtle notes of acidity coming from the wheat. The Blanche du Paradis was born in our Montreal brewpub in May 1999

341 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Dieu du Ciél stemmed glass an unfiltered and hazy straw-yellow coloured Blanche with half a finger almost white foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is spicy, coriander, some cloves, a well hidden peppery touch, yeast, wheat malts and fruity, citrus, lemon, apples. The flavour is yeasty, fruity, citrus, lemon, wheat malts, coriander, orange peels. The mouthfeel is crispy, sparkling and ended as a tarty citrus pie. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied Blanche has a long spicy and tarty fruity finish. Well refreshing and tasty, a perfect in the Belgian Witbier style brewed Blanche, not in Belgium but in the distant Province of Québec. I like it.

Murky, dirty, hazy, foggy yellow body with a fragrant white cap floating on top. Wow, wow, wow what is this heavenly sent. Sweet wheat, coriander, mandarin orange, clove and tons of yeast. Been smelling now for twenty minute and I just cant stop.......oh so good. Taste is light and crisp. So much lemon, orange peel, spice is nice and the wheat is great. Nice wheaty backbone and a great floral finish. Brew has a zing to it I can't explain.....possibly the lemon. Fantastic wit!!!!

Poured a rather light yellow, slightly hazy with a frothy head that left behind some decent lacing. Smells citrusy, spicy, malty. Crisp, refreshing with spicy undertones. Overall, a nice beer.

An excellent take on the Belgian witbier. I am quite thrilled that both Unibroue and Dieu Du Ciel have mastered the Belgian styles. A hazy yellow poured was extremely frothy, but eventually settled down. The aroma was wheat malt, and light fruity spices. The flavour was refreshing malt and citrus. Great!

I tried this beer on October 27, 2010 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy lemonade colour with a thin white bubbly head. The aroma was wheat, grain, citrus, yeast and some weak spices. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was wheat and spices with a acidic yeast finish.

Glad to see LCBO carrying Dieu du Ciel beers, and comes in a single bottle. Pours a cloudy light beige colour with a small white cap (pretty small actually) and gives a bit of lacing. Good tiny bubble carbonation. Witbier yeast aromas with nice coriander. Pretty refreshing mouthfeel that is not too watery. Coriander still present in the taste with some slight bitterness in the finish and mild vanilla coming out in the aftertaste. Not my favorite white beer, but pretty good overall (and nice to see more and more of their brews made available in bottles).

Bottle: puts a hazy pale straw ale in the glass with a 1 finger tight cap...modest retention, modest glass lacing quality. Aroma is biscuity with some light tangerine notes but the coriander predominates. Nice puckering sandy dry mouth feel. Flavour has some biscuit notes some herbal hop, a bit of citrus (barely) but again, coriander wipes out the profile...it’s over powering...nice dry crisp finish but there is so much coriander in here it has an aftertaste like celery and soap. The key to the witbier style is taming the coriander...making it present but complimentary, not dominant.....I’ll take Hoegaarden thanks....this wit is not DDC’s strongest offering.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color ale with some white haze and a big foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma of coriander and loads of wheat are the main point here. Taste is a mix between some orange peel, some coriander and nice bubblegum wheat malt. Loads of character for the style with a full body and great carbonation. Very well done and it would be nice if the beer was offered outside of their mix pack.

07.11.05 Tap at brewpub. Hazy yellow gold. Sturdy white foam. Lots of citrus and heaps of corriander. Not so yeasty other than some solid acidic bite. Not my favorite DDC, laid back, weak bodied, and a bit plain.

Poured a hazy yellow color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet citrus, spices and light yeast. Taste was full of spices, tart citrus, and finishing dry and yeasty.
