This is a brass amber coloured beer with medium effervescence and a light aroma of malt and hops. It offers a wonderful taste of malts and the hops are quite distinguishable in the aftertaste.

First of all, microbrewery Dieu du ciel is a must in Montreal for beer "geeks".This is a great story of three students in microbiology loving beers deciding after their diploma to start a business in bières artisanales...O.know about this altbier, light brown a great starter malty and lightly fruity low bitterness but meanwhile ashy on the palate..,Not my "préférence"style but surely a good example of the style and a great starter for a great evenings of beers...

Shazam! What a brew tour of Montreal...had to come to Quebec to get proper Marzens, Bohemians and German ales. This DdC Altbeir is a good one as well...tapped a dark copper color with a modest frothy cap...aromas are subtle but the Altbier earthy, musty, bready with light wisps of herbs was present. Medium bodied, creamy mouth feel, the great alt Biscuit malts come up front as the herbal woodsy hops ride in the back. Hops build in intensity and become bitter in the finish ...a very good Alt ale.
