Flying Horse Royal Lager Beer -- the champagne of beers. Superior malt, aromatic hops, yeast and crystal clear water are transformed by the skill of the brewmaster into a beer fit for you, the connoisseur. Flying Horse goes through a long and special maturing process. This gives Flying Horse its full-bodied, malty taste, making it the only truly royal beer. Ideally, Flying Horse should be chilled to temperature of 8° - 10° C. And, when you're sure the occasion deserves it, serve Flying Horse Royal Lager Beer. Then, sit back and drink deeply.

Stopped by the local international market to price vegetables and decided to check out the beer singles. Picked this one up with a few others. Bright yellow and clear with quickly disintegrating white foam. Aromas of bitter yeast, some alfalfa and grass, and perhaps some slight skunking. Clean sweet flavor has a yeasty bitterness, a little booze, and a trace of grape. I'm really not generally a fan of this style of beer, but it's OK. Wet and thin with good tingle.

Notch on up for India -- light in color, light in flavor but went well with a meal of spicy curried lentils. All in all it met expectations which is always important.

another crappy indian lager, although not as bad as a few of em. some cheap corn flavored malty taste, little aroma, which at least isn't offensive, but no redeeming qualities.

The Champagne of Beers huh? Well it pours a light golden with thin a bit fluffy white head and copious lace. An aroma of sweet malts, light hops, some citrus, and spice. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of sweet malts(corn?), light hops, lemon, and mild spice. Not bad!!

Poured a mild yellow, with a slightly off white head. Head diminished quickly, and left no lacing. Highly carbonated. I would call this an above average pale lager.

Coincided with dinner at an Indian food restaurant in Bishop, CA. Deep yellow in color, minimal head. Had nothing really going on, but tasted rather good and well balanced. Nothing exotic, or even interesting. Was much better than what I was expecting, which honestly wasn't much. A moderate, but not bland, beer that I would probably buy again if I wasn't in the mood for a mango lassi.

Sampled from bottle, batch #330. Pours clear gold with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is quite malty and the flavor is on the bitter side of balanced. Hint of metals in the finish, but otherwise clean. Medium-light body and light to moderate carbonation. A pretty well-made lager, but just not too interesting.

Pours straw color with good clarity and a fluffy, towering head. The aroma is hoppy and herbal with citrus topnotes. The flavor is basic: mild, balanced, with a slightly peppery finish. Thin-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Wow, this beer certinaly has a high opinion of itself, eh? I doubt that a typical Thursday evening would be considered "worthy" of such "the champagne of beers".... ;^)

Another beer with so little to say for itself, unlike the promo booklet. Adequate appearence, and an aroma that isn't unappealing. Basic bare-bones flavor profile, with no malt or hops to get in the way (so to speak) of the basic mouthfeel and drinkability. In other words, quite unremarkable, pro or con.

A 650mL bottle that really amounts to a humorously over-the-top promo booklet, and little else. The best beer I've had from India -- which aint saying much...

Light gold color, small head. A malt liquor/lager. Light malt taste, with a very definite alcohol tang. Good malt/hop balance. Mouthfeel is crisp. Finish is also crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Better than Kingfisher, I think…
