Similar in style to a Bavarian Weizenbock, this dark wheat beer is an unusual brew. Malty and sweet, large amounts of German hops were added to give a balanced drinkability to this hefty ale. Banana and spice notes contribute to the complexity of this oddly satisfying treat.

A vintage bottle from the cellar. The aging of this beer has apparently done wonders. A brownish red appearance with a large head. The aroma is grapes and wheat. The flavor is mainly sour grapes and nuts. It has a doughy flavor present as well. This one beats out Aventius for sure. Excelllent.

On tap at brewpub. Nice beer. Dark in color with a nice lasting head. Malty and sweet. Well balanced. Banana and clove. Noticeable alcohol burn. Full body.

Pint @ brewpub. Similar to the Loch Ness Monster as that it has a very big alcohol taste. Darkish amber color with a lunar head. Aroms of chocolate, banana and cloves. Taste is roasted malts with pepper, hops and bubble gum. This stuff is not for the faint of heart. Im guessing the abv is a bit more than the 7.5% thats listed here, as it really packs a punch. The drinkability is there, until it warms up a bit. It then becomes a bit too sweet and sticky.

Draft at the brewpub: Poured an amber color with an off white head and light lacing on the glass. Sweet aroma of roast, caramel and clove. Taste of chocolate, clove and caramel and finally finishing spicy and very alcoholic.
