#1350 Victory Pursuit Pale Ale (El Dorado) from Downingtown, PA, United States
Score: 3.6 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Sample at brewpub - Pale yellow color...not awe inspiring. Flavor was impressively crisp with a sweet malty flavor with an earthy zingy hop. Light bodied and drinkable.

#1349 Founders Pale Ale from Grand Rapids, MI, United States
Score: 2.6 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 5 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 4 | Overall 5 |
I love Founders, but this isn’t good. Murky yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma was corn and cardboard. Flavor was citrusy with moderate level of hoppiness but with an off grainy corn chip like aftertaste. Amazing how I can love most of the beers so much yet hate something as generic as a pale ale.

#1348 Iron Hill Hopilicious IPA from Newark, DE, United States
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 6 |
On tap at Media location. Pale golden color, good lacing. This one is a syrupy grapefruit bomb. Hugely sweet and hugely bitter. It’s a bit cloying, however, and a bit one dimensional. This has been done to death.

#1347 Iron Hill Hefeweizen from Newark, DE, United States
Score: 3.3 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 6 | Overall 7 |
Sampled at Media location. My first thought was "Hefeweizen? December?" Wheaty. Not a lot of clove or banana...just really wheat/yeasty. Really heavy. I know see why this on in December, as it's probably too rich for a summer beer, but I’m not sure this beer has a good season for it.

#1346 Iron Hill Belgian Pale Ale from Newark, DE, United States
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
On tap at Media location (sample). Orangey pour, minimal aroma. Taste was light pear and apple with noticeable cloves. Sort of like a light bodied trippel. English hops notable and provide a nice balance. Clean and refreshing.

Dark brown/amber pour with frothy one finger head and some pretty nice lacing. Huge caramel like aroma. Super caramel and brown sugar flavor, pretty sweet, but some toasty/burnt notes that are actually pleasant. Kind of a burned, more dry, slightly less sweet Bigfoot. I liked it a lot.

#1344 Great Lakes Nosferatu from Cleveland, OH, United States
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Caramel brown color, smallish head. Moderate tea-bag like aroma. Bitter pine hops smack you from the get go, with some tea and caramel like flavors. Pretty straight-forward. Very dry mouthfeel. Since this is listed as a Halloween release, was somewhat concerned the hoppage would diminish, but this is still pretty bitter.

#1343 Southampton Imperial Porter from Southampton, NY, United States
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Pour was dark with three finger head. It didn’t smell great, fruity and musty. The flavor was creamy chocolate but an unpleasant fruity sweetness that had almost a sour-like quality in the finish. Mouthfeel, like I said was pretty nice and creamy and the flavor richened and rounded out as it warmed. Yet, there was still a quality in the flavor that was somewhat harsh and unpleasant.

#1342 Troutbrook Thomas Hooker Hop Meadow IPA from Hartford, CT, United States
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Pretty dark pour for an ipa. Strong sweet aroma. Flavor was caramel and tea bags, pretty sweet with a floral bitterness which balanced it out. Smooth and rich. Pretty good.

#1341 Redhook Eisbock 28 from Woodinville, WA, United States
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Pour was dark copper with amber highlights. Aroma was fruity and reminiscent of grapes. The flavor followed suit, red grapes and really boozy, but enjoyable. Strong and not for the faint of heart. Pleasantly surprised.
