#1916 Left Field Brewery Squeeze Play Black Currant Sour from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Small can from LCBO. Pours a big foamy bubbly ruby coloured head that dissipates pretty quickly and has a slightly clear reddish appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of berries, mostly the black currants, some notes of cherries and raspberries. Flavours are sweet with more of the black currant coming through at the top with some more notes of various berries. Also very tarty. Quite a lot of sourness on the palate.

#1915 New Ontario Sap Tapper Maple Brown Ale from North Bay, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Thanks to a good friend for picking this one up at the brewery. Pours an average size frothy beige head that dissipates to a nice thick coating and has a fairly clear amber coppery appearance. Some nice thick sticky and dirty lacing. Aromas of toasty and caramel malt, some herbal and resin notes. Flavours are sweet, syrupy and some pretty noticeable maple flavours. Not overwhelming in a bad sense as too overpowering, but just enough. Slick and slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad overall.

#1914 Waller St. Imperial Funk 'n Oak from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
750ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a huge foamy bubbly tan head and has a dark amber appearance, but still quite clear. Aromas are woodsy, oak infused, earthy and resinous as well as some strong yeast. Flavours are resinous, some dark dried fruits, raisins and plums come to fruition, some oak and woodsy notes also come through in the finish. For a high abv%. brew, goes down quite smooth and easily. Maybe slightly boozy, but not overwhelming.
