#1832 Collective Arts Barrel-Aged Imperial Porter from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Picked up at LCBO packaged with an art print. Pours a large thick frothy and bubbly brown head and has a dark brown appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas are roasted malt, nutty, earthy hops, notes of vanilla and coffee. Flavours are also strong roasted malts and nutty. Has a bit of earthy and resin notes as well as dried fruits with hints of vanilla. Barrel aged aspect is quite noticeable with the bourbon notes giving it a bit of a boozy and woodsy finish. Sweet and slightly bitter. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Smooth and easy to drink, making it somewhat of a dangerous drink even though alcohol level is fairly apparent. Quite a flavourful porter. Great stuff!

#1831 Collective Arts Collective Project: Dry Hop Sour (Raspberry) from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Can from LCBO. Pours a fairly big foamy pinkish head and has a murky reddish/pink coloured appearance. Strong raspberry aromas straight outta the gate, along with various other berries. Flavours are equally strong with the raspberries, nice tarty notes, not too overwhelming. Quite a lot of sourness on the palate and once again, not overwhelming in the least. Very well balanced. Dry and fizzy mouthfeel. Quite good overall.

Aromas light toasted malts, resin, mild coffee. Flavours are a mix of mild roasted malt and mild coffee, nothing too overpowering. Some notes of caramel and toffee. Also a little bit of resin and earthy hints. Moderate carbonation. Actually not too bad and much better than expected.

#1827 Ommegang Game of Thrones Royal Reserve #1 - Hand of the Queen from Cooperstown, NY, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Picked up this bottle at Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury, VT in April '18. Pours a huge foamy off-white head that dissipates to a good size coating. Has an amber appearance with ruby highlights and visible sediment. Lacing is minimal but sticky. Aromas of resin, dry fruit, subtle caramel hints, herbal and light spices. Flavours of dried fruits (raisins, plums), herbal and spices notes, a little bit of caramel. Very smooth and slightly drying mouthfeel. Alcohol is very well hidden, a bit dangerous as it's so easy going down. Good stuff!
