#145 Port Brewing Santas Little Helper from San Marcos, CA, United States
Score: 4.3 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 9 | Overall 9 |
Amazing. I had no clue it was 10% until I went review it. And frankly, this was a really pleasant surprise. In my mind, an impy stout that tastes like it should. I have nothing bad to say about this fine offering.

#144 Southern Tier 2xIPA from Jamestown, NY, United States
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Really malty, and not all that 'hoppy' for a DIPA. I know it's an East Coaster, but still. Smooth and tasty, but too sweet and malty to be a classic. Where's the hoppy aroma?!

#143 Russian River Damnation from Santa Rosa, CA, United States
Score: 4.1 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 9 | Overall 8 |
Batch 052212. Glorious pop! Soapy head, nice lacing, pale gold in a glass. Immediate aroma, lots of yeast. Wow. Nice spice. Cloying, almost banana, nice hop profile. Prolific! One of the best American Belgian ales I've had. Dry, mouth-watering flavour that lasts for minutes. Great>

Almost embarrassed to admit how much I like this. Almost. I'm told it's Sam Adams, but dammit, it's excellent. I know it's dessert fruit cider, but dammit, it's excellent. I know it's too early in the morning to be drinking this...

#141 Driftwood Bird of Prey Mad Bruin from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Score: 4.1 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 9 | Overall 8 |
I'm admittedly a big fan of Driftwood. I think that this side of the border, they're easily the best in the West. And they seem to be just getting started. This beer was really excellent. Pricy, but a good gateway sour. Tart, barnyard flavours, sour apple/cherry, but intoxicating!

#140 Left Hand Milk Stout from Longmont, CO, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Drank the last of these the other night, probably about a year old. It was delicious. Smooth, uncomplicated, a fine balance between sweet and dry, and all-around very pleasant. Very nice mild coffee/chocolate milk notes.

#139 Samuel Smith Imperial Stout from Tadcaster, United Kingdom
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 7 | Overall 8 |
Malty, roasty, a dash or two of smoke. I usually find Sam Smith beers to be on the bitter end of things. Not so much hoppy bitter, but devoid of sweetness. Enchanting aroma: molasses and fig. Crazy tasty, but my North American palate craves a little more sweetness.

#138 Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron from Milton, DE, United States
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Malty as hell. It's thick and dark, really complex. Malt beverage, my butt. This is barley port. Mildly bitter, a touch sour, a pleasant vanilla, and the wood aging is great. Aroma reminds me a lot of a dry stout. I will say, I quite like the taste, and the mouthfeel is great, but the finish is a disappointment. Lingering lameness.

#137 Oskar Blues Gubna from Lyons, CO, United States
Score: 4.1 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Colorado. Must go to Colorado. Everything Oskar Blues I've tried is great. This... 10%! Wow. heady, sticky lace. Nice amber colour. Impressive aroma. Canned hops, who knew? ... A taste of alcohol, which is mild enough. Reminds me of a 90 minute IPA. Lingering heat, but I like it.

#136 21st Amendment Brew Free! Or Die IPA from San Francisco, CA, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
My first impressions were that this has a remarkable aroma. Even in the can, but much better in the glass. Citrusy grass galore. It almost comes across as thin, and not quite west coast... an American style British IPA? A British style American IPA? Whatever it is, it's a nice IPA, but there's better IPA's per dollar.
