#1026 Rodenbach Alexander from Roeselare, Belgium
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
2016 release and I would guess not the aroma of the original based on other reviews. Also, side by side with regular Rodenbach, I'd take the regular version. This one is very cherry forward of course, also finishes a bit dryer and more crisp than regular Rodenbach.

Great use of hops, we'll made, easy to drink and very tasty. I wish all bombers were as modestly priced as this one, but then lots of good west coast brews are so maybe they could teach everyone else how to price beer?

#1024 AleSmith Barrel Aged Speedway Stout from San Diego, CA, United States
Score: 4 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Maybe I'm not that sane but I actually like the non barrel aged version better. With all the good barrel aged beers out there this one just doesn't stack up at nearly 40 bucks a bottle, not worth that price, and I don't care who's buying!

#1023 McAuslan St. Ambroise Noire à L'Avoine (Oatmeal Stout) from Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
A very good oatmeal stout, maybe one of the best of the style, but a top 10 beer overall? With the likes of westy, bourbon county, and the rest. Nope. Can't see it. It is good beer flavored beer though, so I'm a fan.

#1022 Airways Sky Hag IPA from Kent, WA, United States
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Nice, small brewers version of the west coast IPA. Super hazy, no filtration, gives it a bit too much of a yeasty taste but the hop content is more than enough to make up for it. Tricky place to find but worth the effort.

#1021 Real Ale / 3 Floyds / Surly Blakkr Imperial Black Ale from Blanco, TX, United States
Score: 4.2 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
On tap at Surly and Three Floydds within 2 weeks of each other. Couldn't tell the difference between locations, but epic brew, hoppy, dark, balanced, exactly what you expect from these heavyweights.

What a wonderful beer, not oversour at all, perfectly well balanced and made for beer drinkers. Brandy barrel aged cherry Fred was life changing, you should go here, put it on the list!

Wow, waiting a long time to try TG and well worth tue wait. This was a $6 bomber and far better than nearly everything else on the shelf! Amazed at how alive with hop aroma and flavor this is, just wonderful from start to finish.

What the hell is this? Its so thin and abysmal that I can't believe they wasted the time to bottle it. So weak all around, worst dogfish head I can recall.

#1017 Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout from Chicago, IL, United States
Score: 4 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
A big hit of raw coffee beans on the nose, huge aroma. Pours extremely dark and with nearly no head as they all do. Full mouthfeel, smooth. You can taste a bitter coffee flavor mixing in with the classic BCS flavors, think age will do fine for this beer. I still like the original best.
