#684 New Belgium Lips of Faith Pluot from Fort Collins, CO, United States
Score: 3.6 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 8 |
Gift from Nichelle and Brad from a Washington trip. Great bottle, awesome psychedelic graphics. Drank in wine glass, copper and crimson transparent beer. White head. Aroma is initially very sweet/tart flavours, lots of malt and light floral hop notes. As it warms, it starts to show tons and tons of riesling wine notes like petrol and mineral. Very happy with the light sour and tart and thought it played well off of the underripe plum bitterness. Overall, good beer, but nothing to seek out. Very happy for the tasting donation.

#683 Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale from Petaluma, CA, United States
Score: 4.1 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 9 |
Wanted to order another case of Lagunitas Sucks, but this turned up in the mail from the distributor. Was disappointed, but this is actually quite good. The story rocks, it has a slightly peachy hop profile, is medium malty and is refreshingly hoppy and bitter on the back of the tounge. After many of them, it seems to be a bit stale in comaparison to some livelier DIPAs but still happy as the hop profile is more stone fruit than citrus, and a little unique.

#682 Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale from Petaluma, CA, United States
Score: 4.4 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 10 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 9 | Overall 9 |
This could just be the very best beer I have ever had... well maybe not that far, but just when every single american IIPA was blending into eachother, I had this. Very very floral, beautiful light playful bright peach smells and flavours. Other tropical fruits show up on the nose, like pineapple flowers, if those existed. Also so grapefruit, but in a way like the hop was in my nose, rather than stale and stored. Awesome!

#681 Porterhouse Oyster Stout from Dublin, Ireland
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
This appears to be one of the most widely available beers from this brewery. Black pour, short head, some lacing. Found it quite quite, quite heavy on the mouth. Very malty with some chocolate, found it very heavy. Mollasses and sourdough and rye bread a bit. Good brewery, good beer, pricey.

#680 Ninkasi Spring Reign Ale from Eugene, OR, United States
Score: 3.3 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Brought this camping, and it was perfect!!! I found mine (car journey may have helped) to be quite foamy. Light bodied, light flavours, but hops are prevalent and it doesn't taste watery at all. Some white toast and maybe a bit of lemon grass/lemon butter. Clean.

#679 Ninkasi Total Domination IPA from Eugene, OR, United States
Score: 4 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 9 | Overall 8 |
Its amazing to think in Portland this beer is available at every tom dick and harry it seems like. A bit more of a rarity in these parts, with a elevated price to match, still worth it. Simple, perfect West Coast IPA. Grapefruit and Pine, medium bodied, light complimentary fruitcake/dough. Drinks like its barely bitter. Excellent

#678 Mikkeller Hop Bomb Challenge from Copenhagen V, Denmark

Bought in Edmonton at Wine and Beyond. Quite a good brew, dark straw yellow colour. Peachy hops, medium mouthfeel and smacked in the face bitter. Reminds me of Garrisons Imperial IPA, just crazy crazy bitter. Some earthy and slightly grassy notes. Bitter.

#677 8 Wired Saison Sauvin from Warkworth, Auckland, New Zealand
Score: 4.8 | Aroma 9 | Appearance 10 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 10 | Overall 10 |
Wow! This is one heck of a brewery! Hazy golden colour, beautiful and hoppy, some yeast on the nose, but its fairly subdued. Get some honeysuckle, flowers, some light floral pine, slightly tart, some sweet apple and champagne like aromas. Paired this with a lamb hot dog and it was a great combination. Medium bodied, this beer has a slight wheat/oat almost undertone that rounds out the beer and makes it a full mouth experience. Really really great.

#676 Howe Sound Megadestroyer Imperial Licorice Stout from Squamish, British Columbia, Canada
Score: 4.7 | Aroma 9 | Appearance 9 | Mouthfeel 10 | Flavor 10 | Overall 9 |
FINALLY! this has been on my to drink list for a couple years, and I have always missed it for one reason or other. So much bitter liquorice immediately after opening bottle. Think molasses flavoured stout with so much beautiful anise! Bitter dutch type anise, not twizzlers. Very heavy bodied, lots of bitter, roasty grains and black patent. Some tar, rye and heavy stale bread. Lovely and all I hoped for.

#675 De Molen Bloed Zweet & Tranen (Blood, Sweat & Tears) from Bodegraven, -, Netherlands
Score: 4.1 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 9 | Overall 8 |
Another incredible beer.... seems to be so many that are accessible these days. To quote ante, "rye, tar and smoke" but also peat, salt, sage, cigar smoke in the rain, touch of anise, some light meaty flavour... like meat pie maybe. Light bodied and slightly bitter. Toast, toast and some slight ciabatta. Great.
