Sampled on 9/29/2014. This Imperial Pilsners pours a light orange amber color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is sweet, grapefruit and orange peel, with some bread. A medium bodied Imperial Pilsner. The malts are fruity, bready and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Decent carbonation. I get it’s a lager, but I can’t help but think IPA. Good drinkability. Nice balance between the hops and malts. Would expect a little more spiciness for a pilsner. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A bright copper-ambered colored beer with a big frothy textured, white head rising above. There's great hang time on the head. It settles into a thick ringlet light fluffs of film. Sweet bready malt and floral, earthy hops in the nose and in the tasting. Nothing over powering. Just an easy drink. Moderate bodied and smooth.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet cereal malt with floral, metallic noble hops.

The flavor is very sweet bready malts with floral grassy hops that have good bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and very creamy.

Overall, it's a bit overly sweet and I don't care for the hop character.

Thought I'd dig this one more but I'm not lovin it. Bitterness is over the top, which would be ok if I liked the aroma and flavor. A little malty. The hops are like old grapefruit rind, not as floral as they'd have you believe. The spicing as of the alcohol and hops stands out. The mixer has been so good, this is ok and probably still my least favorite.

IPA flavor with a lager feel. This is actually more like a DIPL, Imperial or whatever. Thinner in malt and maybe slightly different flavor than an IPA because of the lager yeast. IBU is high so there is some good bitterness here, as expected from both Ballast Point and SN. Light orange appearance. These styles in the Beer Camp are perfect for a summer release.
