11.2 fl oz capped bottle. Poured a gushing, unfiltered and opaque rich-burgundy coloured BSA with a one finger beige foamy head that had a short retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is deep and intense sourish fruits, cherries, berries, dried fruits, nuts and woody notes. The flavour is intense sourish red fruits, cherries, dark berries, dried fruits, walnuts and in the background a sugary base. The mouthfeel is fulled, thick, light sparkling and amazing smooth. This full bodied BSA has a dry deep sourish fruits finish. Highly recommanded for the sourish beer lovers and, for those they want to become a new sourish beer lover. Anyway more a Flanders Oude Bruin as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Doesn't resemble the base beer (Monks Suffers...) at all, and this one is better. I added this as a wild ale instead of a BSA like RB and BA, because, well, what is a wild ale but a sour version of some other style. This one is sour all the way. Wine line from the cab barreling, lots of critters. Couldn't tell what the base was. Dark sour fruit was pretty much it. Fairly simple but very tasty. Still a bit too much.
