Aroma is strong and hoppy with a good undertone of grapefruit. It pours a slightly hazy amber with a thick, fluffy, fairly persistent head that leaves some decent lacing as it wanes. Flavor is hoppy and quite bitter, but not ferociously so; nevertheless, this beer is not for the faint of heart - er, make that faint of tongue. ;) There is an undertone of grapefruit and just a whisper of honey sweetness. Texture is smooth as glass and has a gentle fizz.

A bright copper colored beer. A big fluffy textured white head rises above. Some hang time. Really impressive lacing of film on the sides of the glass and ringlet atop the body. The nose has a strong alcohol prsence with pine and to a lesser extent citrus hops. The taste matches in the dominance of hops. But in that a refreshing medium, oily bodied beer.

Pours out in a shady copper colour with a small white head, Strong but still rounded aroma of flowers, grass, resin crackers, passion fruit and pine. Nearly full-bodied with fresh and rou nded notes of pine, grass, apricots and lemon-zest. Long hop bitter finish of pine, lemon-zest and grapefruit.

Sampled on 10/23/2008. This imperial IPA pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head nice retention and decent lacing. The aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, caramel and sweet. A medium to full bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity, floral and a touch piney. A medium bitterness Imperial IPA. Lively carbonation. Lots of orange and orange peel flavors towards the back end of the taste. Hides the 10% alcohol well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter.

a delightful treat after a day of moving!~~ very refreshing taste, i thought it could have been stronger though. for an imperial its a little weak! It poured a little cloudy, very bubble. carbonation is just right. head is fluffy soft and very comfortable. lots of Carmel hop notes and barley in the back ground. maybe some parsley too! fresh. wow let it sit out for a while and the boldness of this beer really scream out. thick in taste.

Bottle shared by Slob at SL. Pour was red-orange, off-white creamsicle color, yet not that impressive for a dIPA, thinning quickly, kicking back up though with swirls. The aroma was strong tea bags, malty caramel, some pine type hops noticeable. The flavor followed suit, tea bags first, caramel second, lots of malts overall. Pine resinous hops, some bittering hops also present, yet this didn't wow with its hop presence for the style. Mouthfeel was full, enjoyable. Overall, another dIPA, nothing bad about it, just not a standout, imo. Thanks, Bert, for the the opportunity on this one, glad to be able to help you out with your beer over-inventory!
