Drank some Double Trouble Hops and Robbers Sucker Punch IPA
Oh wow, a Sour-IPA that smells like an IPA, but taste like crunching into a sour grapes.

Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy white cap, good stay and some wavy lacing. Cilantro nose with other grasses. Some oranges and caramel malts in the background. The taste is quite sour with some grape notes. When this dies down, some light yeast is left on the tongue. An interesting Sour-IPA.

Double Trouble Hops and Robbers Sucker Punch IPA, a 6.5% IPA: Juicy, sour & tart… not for the faint of heart. Pucker Up! This is a new Sour IPA with attitude! It’s a one-two punch of tangy tartness balanced with the bitter, hoppy finish of a classic IPA. O...

Drank some Whiprsnapr Atomic Orange IPA
Late start to todays ratings, but never too late. Starting with an atomic punch of oranges and mild caramel. Lovely.

Pours a clear darker amber colour with a big warm-beige head, frothy, bubbly with good retention and some creamy bits of lacing. Big hoppy nose of oranges, with lots of its peel. All of this over loads of caramel malts in the base. The mouthfeel is smooth, going down nicely with just enough dryness in the finish. Does get stronger as you go, with some good bitterness right before the end. Nice cereal grain malts that are darker, with the caramel and citrus zest. Nicely balanced between the citrus hoppiness and the malty caramel.

Pours clear topaz with a thick parchment head. Aroma delivers crisp, fresh malt plus tart and slightly sour apple. Flavor provides seriously tart, sour and sweet apple plus crisp malt and sea salt and just a touch of - hops? Herbs? Texture gives fair smooth body and perky fizz. Go with an original.

A good tasting IPA. The flagship beer of 101 North. It pours a rusty golden color with a weak bubbly head. Lots of citrus and tropical fruit in the aroma. Full bodied. Flavor isn't as sweet as the aroma would indicate, but there is a punchy hop finish.

This beer is the definition of 'average'. It's a golden pour, slight reddish hues, and a creamy cap. Lots of fruit in the aroma, especially apricot and peach. It's a average bodied beer. It starts out grainy, but just before the hops, you get the slight sweetness of the fruits.

Drank some Sweetwater IPA
My first from this brewery. Heard the name, but finally one can at the LCBO. Old school IPA.

First from this brewery, pouring a clean amber colour with a big off-white, warm cap, good retention and creamy-foamy lacing. Sweet nose at first, but the grassiness comes out with time. So, hoppy over the caramel malt base. Kind of berry notes at first pour. The taste is mildly hoppy, but nothing too crazy. Somewhat dry, but again - not too the max. The base is almost more cereal grains. Not a bad IPA, but more old school, without being a hopbomb.

Hogback Mountain Faodail, a 7.6% Scottish Ale: This Scotch ale is crafted with applewood smoked malt and a healthy addition of Vermont maple syrup. The result is a warm malty backbone with a smoky finish.
