Taps clear amber with a nice parchment head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma offers fresh malt, citrus and tropical notes, resiny hops. Flavor yields piney, bitter hops plus tangy citrus and sweet tropical tones with fresh malt. Texture provides good body and peppy fizz. Check it out.

Pours deep coffee with a thick and persistent tan head. Aroma provides quality coffee, chocolate, roast malt, molasses, hints of toffee and piney hops. Rich flavor yields dark chocolate, coffee, roast malt, molasses, toffee and a bit of piney hops - this is a liquid candy bar! Texture offers heavy, viscous body and lively fizz that lasts. Go on the assault! I love the artwork on the can; the cat looks a lot like Helena, a cat I had to give up when I moved recently. :( At least she's happy in her new home.

Drank some Beyond The Pale Wee Heavy Scottish Ale (Port Barrel)
A nice wee heavy that is not too rich with the hops, so going down nicely. Glad to have kept this one for a few years to enjoy in the these times.

Got this 650ml bottle from the brewery, probably 2 years ago. Pours a clean darker amber colour with some ruby hues. Frothy-bubbly beige head that leaves a little cap on the brew. Aromas of caramel, coffee, lots of dark fruits and hints of nuts. The taste really shows off lots of raisins, but the end is not too sticky, nor too sweet, rich so it helps this one go down. Some light grassiness with the hops in the finish, creating a decent dryness. Very well-brewed.

355ml can from the brewery, now just called "1971 Pale Ale" with 5% ABV. Pours a hazy, semi-cloudy yellow colour with a frothy-foamy white cap, good stay and some soapy lacing. Aromas of citrus with mostly zest over juices. Does get fruitier, sweeter with time. The taste has some bitterness for a Pale Ale, but still mild, and with some juiciness. Citrus and yeast. This is a real nice juicy Pale Ale that you could drink many, instead of macros.
