330 ml bottle, bought at Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8%, brewed by Het Anker. Very pale yellow colour, hazy in the end, huge white head. The aroma has notes of "Green Apples Shampoo", Belgian ale yeast and spices. The flavour is fairly refreshing for its strength and moderately spicy, notes of green apples again, also notes of white candi sugar and artificial candy, unpleasant soapy aftertaste. Overall disappointing.

An okay Belgian, dry with a phenolic character. This is really nothing special, particularly with the overly assertive demonic title. It’s a pale yellow-gold with a frothy head. The aroma has some grassy, herbaceous hops and a healthy dose of middle-of-the-road Belgian yeast. Flavor is dry with a touch of sour apples. This Lucifer is no dark lord of Belgian ales.

Theis brew poured a hazy pale golden color with a frothy white rugged head that left some decent lacing. The aroma was very mild wheat and honey. The mouthfeel is medium. The flavor is also very mild honey, wheat sourness and the alcohol is well concealed. Overall, a fair introduction to the style.

A nice looking pale ale, hazy golden in color with plenty of yeast flakes floating around, a thick white head. The first taste wasnt agreeable, I was greeted by a strong barley/ yeast taste, and the alcohol was pronounced. The flavors settled a bit after the second/ third sip, and it finished well. Overall it was a decent brew.

A "pretty good" beer. Pours a pale cloudy yellow. Small head that hangs around and laces a little. Light taste and not too complex. The value/satisfaction is not worth the cost of this beer. You'll spend a good $11 for 4 12's. That money can be used on better beer than this.

Hazy honey coloring that issued an ample lacy head. Yeast, citrus, sweet aroma with a zesty carbonation that is sustained throughout drinking this ale. Very nice balanced taste with a slight citrus bite along with the alcohol. A nice strong Belgian Ale.

8.5, another duvel clone?? Well, not really ..The big thing here is that the alcohol is masked much better than duvel, but the similarities end there....

    Light honey wheat smell...

medium bodied fizzy head, that leaves some noticeable lacing...

witbier type light yellow cloudy appearance...

Taste is mainly a honey bitterness with not much complexity, but that can be a neutral- a starter belgian but most people with some good beer background will find this lacking...

an enjoyable easy drinking beer (man,. how often do i say that!?!)
but it really isn't anything that special...

Pours a hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is malty, flavor is spicy and floral. Yes, a lot like a Duvel, but for me not as good. BUT, this one is still good in it's own right, perhaps not as complex but rather it is similar.

The Power of Christ Compels You !! Yes, this is a devil of a beer, as when I turned it a few times (very slowly) to get the sediments flowing, it created shitloads of pressure and the brew wound up all over in my room. Gives a big fat white foamy head with long retention. The lacing left is also quite good. Hazy pale yellow in colour with lots of flaky sediments all over. The nose is mostly a mild wave of Belgian yeast with some spices, like corriander. The strong yeast is there at first, then goes to a slight alcohol finish, to then end in an apple aftertaste. Best before date is May 2008 and listed as a 8.5% on the AVB. Resembles to Duvel, but not as good.
