0.5L bottle pours a nice deep amber colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some dark fruit and hints of caramel. Nice. The flavor is full with shriveled plums, dates and raisins. By midway a streak of caramel enters the picture and helps create a nice medley of flavors. The taste experience ends with more dates and raisins. Tasty brew.

Pours clear sepia with a good buff head. Aroma presents caramel, roast malt, subtle earthy tones. Flavor delivers caramel, roast malt and earthy notes. Texture features OK body and peppy fizz. Vashe zdarovie.

Purchased at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario Store. This is a weak dunkel from one of Eastern Europe’s largest breweries. It pours a solid reddish brown with an off-white head. The aroma is caramel malt, weak grains, and weak earthy hops. The flavour is very grainy with weak caramel notes.

A dark red lager that poured a thick white head. I liked the aroma which was of fruit and spice.its a little watery but very smooth. I would call this full flavored with solid malt taste.

pours a clear brown/redish in color and has no visible carbonation and with a thin white head that quickly died down and left lacing on the surface and a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass. The aroma is of sweet malts are present in the nose along with some hints of caramel. The taste is similar to the aroma and also has flavors of sweet malt extracts. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.

This one seemed a little tough to review. At first wasn't feelin this at all, but grew on me somewhat on the 2nd glass. Still a little below par for a dunkel though. On the thiner side, could use a bit more carb. It is what it is. Wouldn't get again, and if this is one of Baltika's better brews, don't think I would care for the others. Could be my first sample from Russia, so the curiosity got me.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Baltika 0.5 l mug a clear oak-burgundy coloured Dunkel with a good two fingers tan creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is slight roasted malts, caramel, dark ripe fruits, raisins. The flavour is roasted malts, a touch of dark chocolate, toffee, brown sugar and weak dark fruits, raisins. The mouthfeel is creamy, crispy and a bit ..sticky. This medium bodied beer has a dry roasty malty and nice bitter finish. A perfect brew for entering from November the coldest days in the year.

The last of my Bevmo! booty, which is apparently a word no longer in the Catholic Bible as all occurrences have been replaced with "spoils." Oh well. Anyway, as for this beer....not good. The flavor is all cherries and alcohol, with some slight hints of caramel and hoppy bitterness buried way on the bottom. Looks decent enough...cola brown with a big sudsy head. Aroma contained nothing discernible. I'm glad I only bought one from this series. Won't repeat this, unless I forget all about this review by the next time I'm in the BevMo!

Pours crimson with a nice white fluffy head. Aroma is nothing special. The taste is watered down and slightly skunky. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Not a good beer, in fact it's quite bad. Will not have again.
