    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

Aroma has a fruity core and hints of malt and caramel. It pours a pretty clear amber with a fluffy, if typical, white head. Flavor has fruity and malty tones with a hint of caramel - not remarkable, but definitely drinkable. Smooth texture has average body and average fizziness. Not outstanding, but still enjoyable. A good party beer.

Presentation: This is one of six beers from an eighteen pack labeled Beer of America, Historical Collection. The 18 pack also came with a nice book titled, The History of Beer in America. It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: The body has an amber color with very good clarity and some visible carbonation. On top sits a light fluffy white head that quickly fades to a very thin covering that make some spotty slick lace on the glass. Smell: Its aroma is very light and there is little to describe. I only noticed a very faint malty sweetness in the nose. Taste/Palate: There is a light sweet malty grain and husk flavor with some corn or cooked vegetable notes and just a hint of diacetyl. This is balanced by a touch of grassy hops and an odd astringent flavor as well. It finishes dry and clean. The palate has a fairly light body with an average borderline fizzy carbonation. Notes: This was a rather bland marzen style beer and it had very similar flavors to all the other beers in the mixed pack. The best part of this 18 pack is the book that came with it.

This is the fifth of the ‘Beers of America’ from Minhas. An cloudy amber ale much mike the Marzens. The head, from a room temperature pour was health, tannish white, frothy. Decent hang time, settling into a soapy ring. The aroma is faint, sweet malt. The body is moderate and smooth on the palate. The tastes as subtle as the aroma. It finishes dry. Not the best representation of a Marzen, but a nice drink with the Chinese take out we had.

Pours a nice clear amber color with a thin head and some lacing. Carbonation is evident. Aromas of sweet malts and slight hops. Taste is somewhat thin but satisfactory with a nice malty hopness.

I am generally not a big fan of marzen style brews but I really enjoyed the taste of this one. The aroma was faint but a little nutty. The coloring was a nice golden shade with a little lacing....give it a try if you can.

Not a bad Marzen. slightly sweet sort of nutty with maybe a sugar note to both the aroma and taste Medium amber with small head and light lacing. Smooth drinking. Not unpleasent in the least

    Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

The aroma is somewhat sweet with maybe some maltiness with some decent bitter that I can detect coming through and even is a bit grainy to some extent and maybe bready. The appearance is a light golden-orange to lightly bronze in color with a decent head on top if poured vigorously enough and is somewhat creamy and leaves nice lacing on the glass with the head bubbly and remaining on top and is an off-white in color. The mouthfeel is light-bodied and a bit watery with some decent malty and creamy complexity with maybe some decent balance with a palate that is a bit thin and watery but coats decently well. The flavor is malty with some sweetness and maybe is bready with maybe some slight nuttiness with an aftertaste that is malty with maybe some slight bitter and maybe some roasty overtones with a finish that is smooth and not too bad with some nice sweetness and is light. Overall, decent marzen here but nothing special and needs much more complexity to be a viable brew; I will pass next time on this one.
