The Maibock has been lagering in our cellars since December of 2003. It's a malty bronze color brew with a fairly high gravity. We threw in a touch or Rauch Malt for fun.

Pours a clear and rather bubbly chestnut with a nice fine-bubbled light tan head. Aroma has caramel, sweet malt and subtle woody notes. Flavor has a woody core that supports caramel, malty, cinnamon and bready tones. Firm, smooth texture has good fizz and leaves a tasty, cinnamon-toast finish. Get this goat!

It pours a dark copper color with a fairly thick white/light-tan head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, sugar cookies, bread and yeast, brown sugar, light hops, orange, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange, bread and yeast, brown sugar, and spices. The aroma is impressive, but the flavor is ordinary for a maibock.

Poured a dark amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, bread, caramel malts, nuts, and some light hay. Taste of sweet caramel, light roast, smoke, with a bready, dry finish. The 9% alcohol was not noticed.

The Maibock poured a hazy copper-orange with a creamy, off-white head that went down to a thin layer.

It’s aroma was sweet caramel malt and some spicy smoke.

The taste was grassy, caramel malt initially with a smoke finish. I thought it was a little too sweet. The mouthfeel was smooth and medium bodied.

Overall, I thought it was similar to their Marzen, but not quite as good.
