Hmm, different. This reminds me of Fraoch (sp) without the heather taste; very earthy, almost peaty tasting. Pours a deep brownish-amber color with a respectable head and no lacing. Smells malty with a very earthy tone to it. Taste is, well, very earthy/herbal with some faint fruit esters. Complex and hard to describe. It grows on you. Mouthfeel has a nice mineral thing going on. It's thick and rich. Overall this is pretty nice and quite different. First sip wasn't very pleasent but I'm really starting to like it. This is definately worth seeking out.

Dark amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. A medium bodied red ale. Malts are slightly roasted, nutty and sweet. Hops are spicy. Dry hopping adds to the malt sweetness. Nicely balanced. Very drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Afterstaste is slightly bitter.

Sampled from bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a thick, tan head and remarkable lace. Aroma is citrus and floral hops with a subtle sweet malt in the background. Flavor is caramel and chocolate/toasted malts with a bit of American hops (pine/citrus). Good flavor but kind of simple. Medium-bodied, well-carbonated. An enjoyable session beer.

Pours foxy red with excellent clarity and a tall, lasting head. The aroma combines bitter-floral and citric notes. The taste is much richer with toffee and caramel flavors providing the background for highlights of floral hops. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Pretty smooth and easy to drink.
