Modeled after the famous malty amber lagers of the German harvest festivals. Balanced with Bavarian hops and very drinkable. This delicious lager is a bit stronger than the German "Helles" (meaning light) style. Also more full bodied and flavorful.

Pours a clear deep amber with a nice white head and good lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of lightly sweetened German malts, nice Noble Bavarian hops nose, very light earthiness. Taste is very smooth with a great malt base, a touch of caramel followed by a nice light bitter from the Hallertau and Noble hops. Very German, Very true to the style. This one of the best domestic Oktoberfest biers that I've tasted - very lucky to have this so close. (Re-reviewed 09/20/2012)
