Our "Highland Piper Tartan Ale" is a fine blend of our famous "Ten Penny Ale" and a rich stout that our Brewmaster has formulated. The marriage of these two execeptional brews should please the palate of any Piper, and any Friend who would go to great lengths to seek it out! Cheers!

A mix of Ten Penny Ale and a stout brewed at Olde Burnside. Not bad, but I think the two beers alone might have been better than the mixed version. Pours a dark brown with red around the edges. Aroma is sweet caramel, and roasted coffee. Flavor starts with sweet caramel, then turns to strong roasty flavors. The roasted flavors take over the beer, detracting from any of the original scottish ale. Not bad, but kind of disappointing. I expected better coming from OB.
