Disclaimer - I doubt this will ever be I style I could love, even though this brewery makes some of the world's most wonderful beers. Got this in a trade with hamilton23 (thank you!). 22 oz bottle into a wizen glass. This beer poured a light yellow with a tiny white head which disappeared almost immediately. There was almost no lacing to speak of. The nose was wheat, yeast, and some lemon zest but very faint. Taste was similar, i.e. wheat, yeast and a tiny lemon tinge. There was little carbonation and the mouthfeel was very light. While not displeasing, this is the most forgettable beer from a great brewery. I have had 9 Alpine beers and this is the ONLY one I would pass on, if offered.

Sampled on 12/18/2009. This wheat ale pours a light orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, wheaty and sweet. A medium to light bodied wheat ale. The malts are fruity, cereal and sweet. The hops are citrusy. Lively carbonation. Kind of a delicate tasting light and refreshing beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This may be The Alpine Beer Company's "training wheel" beer (to convince the BudMillerCoors automatons that there is more to life than swill), but this is one fine tasting beer for Real Beer fans, too. Just enough wheaty malt to give this beer some real character, and a fine selection of Noble (Saaz) hops, too.

While it may not look all that special, this beer is probably one of the best Kristalweizen's I've ever had (and apparently other folks agree, since Pat used to routinely bring home blue ribbons at the various homebrew competitions with this one). Recommended for all expirence levels of beer drinkers.

This was a sweeter version of wheat, but without the fruit. The pale tan color and malty aroma/flavor with a hint of spice made this easy to drink and good to savor. Had it at the Liar’s Club twice.

This american wheat pours with a golden body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma and flavor are sweet and slightly malty with a fruity note and a touch of sugar(?). Light bodied, crisp and smooth.
