The white version of their 1664? This is an interesting take on a witbier because the dominant note is apricot, and not wheat or orange. The beer pours a clouded medium gold color with a long lived white bubbly head. As I stated earlier, the aroma is dominated by the apricot, the yeast, spices, and wheat are all secondary. The mouthfeel is average. The flavor is again, sweet apricot and wheat giving way to a spicy finish. A decent beer.

Pours hazy lemon yellow with a thick and rather persistent ivory head. Aroma offers fresh fruity and wheaty tones plus a whiff of yeast. Flavor delivers citrus, wheat and pomme flavors, not outstanding but refreshing. Mouthfeel, though, leaves something to be desired, lacking fizz and body. White on.

I got a lot more than I was expecting from this beer. That said, a very yellow colored beer with a sudsy textured bright white head rising smartly above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a moderate sized ringlet and persistent cap. Good nose presence. In the total profile apricot comes out and pleasantly so. A full creamy bodied beer.

How do you rate a beer that overwhelms your every sense, that you so revel in drinking, that delights you in every way, yet then read the ingredients list on the label, and get instantly turned off by all the artificial crap that's in it? Well, obviously I am going with the numbers I wrote down before I decided to read said label. Oh why oh why did I ever read that label? Anyway, it smells like an orange grove, and you can really taste the orange peel, more than any other of this style that I have tried. Smooth mouthfeel. Great drinking brew. Shame about those unnecessary ingredients though, cause as much as I love this beer, due to my recent health kick, I won't be drinking this again, alas. Well, I wouldn't mind trying on tap.

Aromas of apricots, citrus and wheat, not shabby at all.Murky pale yellow body, thin soapy head, ok retention and some decent lace to boot. Flavor of apricots again but the wheat is more pronounced, flavor has a tiny bit of alcohol, strange for a 5.0%. Overall better than expected, nice, light and refreshing

Golden yellow with thick foam head. Very fruity, peach, but not too sweet. Taste is refreshing but somewhat flat also, nice thurst quincer. Good aftertaste. (Ufa 201204)

The beer poured a hazy yellow colour with no head. The aroma was apricots and not much else....reminiscent of the apricot nectar my dad used to buy when I was a small child. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was wheat malt, more appricots, and some mild skunkiness. I must admit, I love the aroma of this beer! Not your typical witbier, and I like that!

Played this bar called the Atomic Rooster in Ottawa and they had this one on tap. Pours a cloudy golden-beige with a small white head that leaves a small amount of lacing. The glass it came in from Kronenbourg is graduated frosty, so I thought the glass was chilled before serving. But no. It was not. The scent was of light oranges and hints of honey. The mouthfeel was thicker than I expected. The taste was different as well - Apricots, not orange zest, nor coriander. Overall, too mild (just like their popular 1664, but interesting because of the apricot flavour.

cloudy lactic/yellow colour under a creamy white head; citrusy nose with notes of coriander and orange peel; rather sweet and with a moderate malt body, the finish is bland with light citrusy notes and an unexpected yeasty touch - incoherent
