WOW not good. Pour a brown color with thin head which left okay lacings. Aroma was COFFEE only overwelming coffee. Flavor was of bitter coffee grounds. Other then that could get nothing out of this one.

The fact that others rate this highly proves to me that some people just like STRONG taste, no matter what that taste was. I wonder if they made a beer entitled "Old Bacon Fat and Rotten Eggs Smoked Porter" if someone would give it a 4 and say, "Wow...it really tastes like old bacon grease and rotten eggs!". This beer wasn't good. And I LOVE COFFEE. It tasted like coffee grounds...and not good quality coffee, either....more like Maxwell House that's been sitting in the coffee basket for 2 days. I only gave it high marks on mouthfeel because, despite the flavor, there weren't in reality actual coffee grounds floating in the beer.

Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head and light lacing on the glass. Roasted and light chocolate aroma. Bitter coffee and light choco taste with a medium mouthfeel.

Wonderful coffee aroma. This brew is actually made with organic mexican coffee. Delicious, but I agree that it would have been better with a little less coffee flavor.

Having this cask conditioned, it was a real treat. It looked incredible and smelled like fresh coffee and beer. In my opinion it had a little too much coffee flavoring but I would definitely have it again.
