This Mediterranean brew is made for the warm climate this country has. It pours a light yellow colour with a big foamy white head, that actually stays a while and leaves lacing all over (in weird shapes of all kind). The aromas are a little malty with a slight twist of citrus. Decent carbonation composed of many small bubbles that keeps on going strong. The taste is pretty light, with some grain flavour and a metallic finish. Not much aftertaste, maybe a bit of bitterness. Refreshing for that tempature (like mentioned) and nice to try a beer from Malta, but that is about it.

I never thought that a country the size of Malta would have their own brewery. Although if this beer is indicative of what is produced, wouldn't it be less embarrassing to say that it's imported? The beer is a pale yellow lager that smells of grainy malt and tastes like grass.

Can: Poured a golden color lager with a huge foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet malt with no distinguishable adjunct. Taste is also dominated by some medium sweet malt note. No hops presence was discernable or any floral notes but I should also say that no major flaw is detectable. Not bad overall but still too bland for my taste buds.

    500ml can

The beer poured a translucent pale yellow, probably the palest yellow I have ever seen on a non-North American product. The head was white, bubbly, and disappeared quickly to a ring. The aroma was stale grainy malt and not much else. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The taste was more stale grains and a little hoppish bitterness. Nothing I'll buy again.

Pale yellowish colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is rubber gloves, grass and sweaty socks. Flavour is rubber, metal, malts hops and big grassyness in finish and aftertaste.

Bottle. Pale gold with a slim white head. Subtle malty aroma. Flavours are grain and citrus lemon with a very mild bitterness in the finish. Light to watery bodied. Inoffensively average.

one of the best lagers ever, although it is a 5% labelled beer its more stronger, its best drank from bottled rather than draught andany one who tasted this beer from any countrie will say its one of the best the best

Barely above average lager; had it on tap in Malta and it was okay. The Hopleaf is a better Maltese beer, though. Cisk is more watery and less flavorful compared to Hopleaf.
