Our interpretation is that of a classic American Imperial Stout, rich and full, with a pronounced bitterness and hop flavour. 355ml can from the brewery. Almost pitch black with a big creamy-bubbly warm mocha-coloured head, very nice retention and creamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, maple syrup-dark fruit sweetness and light hops. Oily mouthfeel, but not too heavy overall. A little warming in the mouth, but goes down nicely all-around. Flavours of mild roasted malts and hops adding a little grassiness in the finish. Nothing too crazy, but should be better to enjoy this winter. Keeping a few for this.
