Smoked Paloma is the third and last of our cocktail-inspired series for 2019. This well-balanced sour ale is a combination of fresh grapefruit and just a kiss of smoke to ease into fall. Our friends at Pine Street Market smoked some malt for us so we can get just the right amount. It has a lightly smoked finish, fruity aroma, and the beer is marked by a crisp mouthfeel, making it the perfect addition to firepits, crisp air and colorful leaves.

Pours clear topaz with a thick though not long-lasting parchment head. Aroma provides tangy, sour fruit - mainly stonefruit - plus tropical and malty notes. Flavor features tart fruity, smoky, and crisp malty tones, the fruit being a mix of stonefruit and citrus - yes, more than a bit of grapefruit there. Texture yields OK fizz and body. Sip your cocktail and try to make the best of COVID lockdown.
