In 2020 we brought this beer back. But we missed this beer already. We missed it so much that we had to bring it back to you guys in 2022. We hope you're as happy to see it again as we were to make it once more. You know we're always hustling to get betters beers, bring you more immersive experiences, taking the extra mile to that extra layer of aroma and flavor. But what did we do to the recipe to make it even better? Well, here's our changelog of Mexicake 2022: Upgraded ABV to 11% Revised mouthfeel and thickness Added 1.5% smoked malt Single Origin Cocoa Nibs from Mexico (supplied by the singular Krak Chocolade) +50% Cocoa Nibs used 4 different Chillies used (Ancho, Arbol, Chipotle & Guajillo) Mexican Vanilla!

440 ml can, as Moersleutel Smeerolie Mexicake Imperial Stout, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 11%. Pitch black colour, large brown head. The aroma has notes of roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate / cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon, hints of smoked chilies. Smooth, warming and rich mouthfeel. The medium sweet flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but there is now a more distinct chili burn, and moderate bittering hops. Outstanding beer!
