Pours a dark brown colour, getting to the black side with a warm beige mocha-coloured head which is quite big, lasts long and leaves foam spots. Lots of dark fruits in the nose over the roasted malts. So, prunes and hints of coffee, chocolate. The taste is mostly the roasted malts with the roasted coffee mild bitterness in the finish. Nothing too special, but quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an insanely massive amount of foamy beige head which eventually dissipates to a still fairly big coating. Big thick soapy lace remains. Has a deep dark brown appearance. Aromas of roasted malt, toasty, earthy and herbal notes. Flavours are mostly roasted malts, earthy, some mild grassy and smokey notes. Big yeasty notes at the end giving it a full bodied mouthfeel. A little bit of a dry finish on the palate.

The beer pours a solid black colour, with some translucence around the edges, topped by a medium brown creamy cap. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is more sweet than bitter with hints of roasted malt, chocolate milk, and a very weak bitter finish. Goes down easy but nothing special.
