The Wild One begins, not as a single beer, but distinct batches fermented in wooden foeders each with its own array of flavors. Our brewers sample and blend to taste, resulting in a refreshing brown ale with a tartness buoyed by fragrant aromas of ripe red raspberry, cherry, apple and a bit of funk from Brettanomyces yeast. Minimal hop character and mild toasty, caramel malt flavors support the ripe raspberry, tart, fruity, vinous character of the wild fermentation.

Taps opaque dark caramel with a good buff head. Aroma presents tart and sour tropical and stone fruit, a hint of malt. Flavor yields sour and tart, and slightly sweet, stone fruit and tropical tones, a whisper of fresh malt. Texture features firm body and lively fizz. Go wild!
