Flaked oats and wheat add to the velvet mouthfeel, with the carbonation adding a honeycomb texture. Magnum and Sorachi Ace bring a berry and citrus fruitiness that amplifies the chocolate character of this inky leviathan.

March 2017: 330 ml bottle, at Malone’s Irish Bar, Aberdeen. Oatmeal milk stout, 4.7% ABV. Black colour, small beige head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavour is also roasty, with distinct notes of chocolate, vanilla and lactose, but not too sweet. Decent beer.

Pours coffee brown with a tan Guinness-like head - and them falling bubbles show it's genuinely nitro. Aroma offers rich roast malt, quality coffee, dark chocolate, a hint of vanilla. Flavor provides roast malt, decadent chocolate, coffee, vanilla, a little toffee. Texture yields fair smooth body and perky fizz. Even the blackest heart can love.

pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a small to medium, foamy, beige head that stays around for while leaving nice lacing. The aroma is licorice, sugar, coffee, slight vanilla, & spicy The taste follows the aroma plus sour cherries. The mouthfeel is medium carbonation with a light body.
