The beer pours a solid coca-colour with a hugely generous dark brown head which quickly recedes to a 1” creamy cap. Good lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, and light spices. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, light coffee and chocolate notes, with a peppery spicy finish.

Can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head that dissipates to a thin bubbly layer. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of crystal malt, cocoa, coffee. Flavours of barley malts, cocoa, orange chocolatey notes, hints of vanilla. A little bit of a sweet finish. Slick and slightly oily mouthfeel.

Can that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any copper highlights. The big head is mocha-coloured, creamy, frothy, long lasting with thick creamy foam lacing patterns. Cocoa aromas over roasted malts and molasses. Hints of dark fruits coming from the very light cinnamon and oranges. The taste is mostly roasted malts with again, very light orange notes. Not a bad stout on its own, but not sure the oatmeal is smoothening out the cocoa, orange and cinnamon too much. Hard to feel those. Wish all three would be more potent.
