Back in April we teamed up with our friends from the Cherry Street Brewing Cooperative to make Mr. Brownstone Imperial Pale Ale, designed to meld the malt profile of an Old Ale with new age American hops. We brewed this beer with pale malt, wheat, flaked oats, caramel malt, and a hefty portion of free-flow organic brown sugar. A luscious mouthfeel is accentuated with notes of toffee, medium caramel, and a slightly nutty finish. The hop profile is equally prevalent with aromatic notes of citrus peel, pine, and, and a gentle tropical fruit character. This beer is big, balance, and full of flavor.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pours clear dark coppery with a thin but serviceable buff head. Aroma delivers woody, caramel, toasted malt, and subtle citrus tones. Flavor accentuates the evergreen hops and tangy citrus, while letting malt, caramel, and subtle toffee tones share the gustatory stage. Mouthfeel presents firm body and strong fizz. Big as a brownstone!
