Picked up a growler at the brewery. Has a dark amber/coppery appearance. Average size foamy bubbly head. Ok lacing. Aromas of dark roasted malts and toffee. Flavours of roasted malts, notes of caramel and light spices in the mix. Some very faint hops as well. Lively carbonation. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad.

Bought this in a growler from the Ottawa brewpub. Pours a clean brown colour with an amber hue and a creamy light beige head that stays a long, long time. Aromas of nutty malts, toast and chocolate. A lot of the same for the taste, but with some mild hops, creating some light bitterness in the finish. Good thick creamy lace as the beer goes down smoothly, and the head is still there. Notes of sweet coffee as well. Quite a nice session dark lager, well representing the style.
