Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.

December 2018: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, no head. Aroma of coffee and woodwork. Sweet flavour with loads of coffee, molasses, caramel, oak and vanilla.

Pours out beautiful, solid black with a think foamy head. Flashlight doesn’t shine through it. The aroma is not very strong. And the taste has slight vanilla (not the cheap kind).very smooth zero bitterness.

Thick, dark brown/black color, small tan head, lacing galore. Dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee and hints of fresh peppers. Taste starts with coffee/chocolate/vanilla goodness and ends with a spicy, peppery finish. As it warms, a strong cocoa presence is detectable. No heat despite the 13% abv. Mouthfeel is consistent with the style, full and rich. Big fan of imperial stouts and this one is very good, but misses the upper echelon by just a bit.

Picked this beer up as an afterthought on my way to the checkout, thinking I'd heard of it before. Pours very dark opaque brown. Very thin head persists and oils the sides of the glass. This is a mega beer with huge flavour. Quality coffee, chocolate, vanilla, molasses, (beer was too cold to start), then comes the chili and alcohol warmth. Nose follows the flavour to a tee. Mouthfeel is full, smooth and sticky. If I knew what I was getting I certainly would have bought more. Buzzzz.

Comes out of tap rich sable with a thick chocolaty-tan head. Aroma has strong coffee, roast malt, and nutty notes with woody hop hints. Flavor has rich, delightful roast coffee and earthy tones - then the peppers kick in! Texture is firm and thick, fairly fizzy, leaving a smoky coffee finish. This coffee is da bomb!

Finally found this a few weeks ago and have been saving this one for my 2,000th review. Deep black body, viscous, with a thick deep tan cap that left some pretty nice lace on the way down. Nice aromas- cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate are the most noticeable features. As it warms some licorice, coffee, and vanilla come out. Flavor is much the same with the chocolate and coffee bitterness upfront the vanilla and chilies come out later, the chilies are just noticeable enough, not overwhelming. Overall a super fantastic beer, a bit pricey but what the hell..

I would have it on my Wish List but I thought there was no way I'd ever get it. BOOM! @RichardGroves comes through like a Champ showing up with this AND Pirate Bomb! at our last little tasting. I am impressed! To the beer: Near black pour, h e a v y, tight short tan head, long lazy lacing. Very fist in the nose and palate is coffee, very good black coffee, then we're off to the races: vanilla, chocolate, more coffee, and blackstrap molasses, burnt brown sugar, and more coffee and vanilla and chocolate. Then... BOOM, the chilies show up to the party! Very slight but definitely noticeable, nice and mellow but slight heat. NO WAY this beer is 14%, but it is. Bottle says so. Gotta be. But damn is it good. EPIC stout for certain. Thanks to my local beer buddy Richard for sharing this from his trade.

Sampled from bottle, thanks to BJ. Pours opaque black-brown with a thin tan head. Not surprising considering the nibs and the 14% abv. The coffee-chocolate-vanilla aroma is heavenly. Not overwhelming or artificial. Balanced and smooth. The chili advertised on the bottle is hiding well. Maybe it's there and that's probably the point - a hint of complexity. Drier and less hot than it should be. Very well made and deserving of a spot among the top of this style.

Mail delivery via the OK beer mafia (Hannah). Damn! That should be my whole review, but allow me to elaborate. This coffee impy stout can stand up to the very best of them, and that says a LOT coming from me as this is my favorite style and sub-style of beer. When I saw 14% on the bottle, this beer blew my mind (again). Upon first whiff and sip, I figured 9 or 10%. 14% with NO heat?! Are you freakin kidding me? Smooth as all hell...love the use of coffee and vanilla in this brew. They are the main players. with the cocoa and especially the chili just along for the ride. What an aromatic, beautiful delicious brew. By FAR the best in a very good tasting, my favorite Prairie beer, and one of the best beers period I've had in a long while. Just added to the database...and my wishlist. No way I want this to be a one timer.
