Pours a large foamy head and goes away fairly quick. Has a hazy coppery appearance. Very weak lace. Aromas are somewhat indistinct, very faint, just a bit of spices and earthy hops. Flavours of caramel and sweet malts, some hints of cinnamon in the finish as well as the bourbon taste making a late appearance. Alcohol is fairly strong but not overpowering. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff!

Beautiful bottle with an artsy penciled label and a bronze wax-dipped crown. Pours a cloudy deep amber colour with a big frothy beige head, good retention and thick foamy lacing. Very nice aromas of spices, oranges, raisins and some sourness. Not sure if this is infection or not, but the sourness is even more present in the taste. Fruit and spices are milder and the bourbon shows up slightly in the finish. A good spiced brew and would like to try the non-bourbon version.

750ml crown capped wax dipped bottle. Pours a murky dark copper color wich a fluffy white cap. Nose is spice, malts and a sour earthiness. Flavour is quite pleasnt for a big ale - toasty maltiness with fruits, spice, hebal bittering and some tame sweetness wrapped in smoky woody under tones. Long finish where some complexity builds, rounded smoothness is evident here. Quite an easy driniking ale with some subtle complexity. I’ll buy more if I see it.
