Purchased at Trader Joe's in Vegas. Pours a hazy light golden-amber with an off-white head that disappears rather quickly, leaving not much lacing but a thin white cap above the brew. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast with some nice spices, in the nose and taste. In the flavours, some orange notes which balances some sweetness with the spiciness. A very easy-drinking strong Belgian Ale, even easier than other Unibroue. Glad I could try this, but had to go to Vegas to do this.

Thanks to my neighbor for splitting. This was a great beer, however, it followed Corsendonk Tripel. It was a tough beer to beat. On the whole, this was a very food beer though. Unibroue knows how to do Belgian beers and do them well. Slighty citrusy, little hints of grass and lemon. Yeasty.

Saw the Unibroue cork and picked one up, then stashed it down in the cellar for a few months. Hazy yellow with a thin white cap (a rougher pour will provide a taller head). Pleasantly sweet aroma suggests banana, lemon, apple, coriander, yeast, and just a trace of bubble gum. The flavor presents all of these as well, but it is not nearly so sweet as the aroma suggests, and that's a delicious thing. Prickly tingle, refreshingly wet, light enough to pair with food, slightly sticky. Overall, it's not the most amazing thing ever, but it's a heckuva good deal.

Strong aroma is mainly yeasty with a malty undertone and a butterscotch hint. Pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick, fluffy, and rather persistent white head. Satisfying flavor has malty, banana and yeasty notes, not overly complex or distinctive but still acceptable and a little more. Smooth texture has a firm, if not persistent, fizz and leaves a yeasty, slightly fruity finish. Overall, decent if not great.
