The beer pours a translucent reddish-gold colour with a generous light tan coloured head. The aroma is weak caramel, tropical fruit, pine, and citrus. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is pine and tropical fruits with hits of grass. An alright beer.

Odd tasting impy ipa. Nose and taste is spice, yeast, floral, perfume, soap. Quite a lot of favour but very muddled up. Think it would be better described as a Belgium ipa. Not a good looker but the cork didn't seem to be in right. Although it did make a weak pop when it opened.

This one pours a pretty sizeable amount of head, very foamy and thick bubbles. Has a deep coppery appearance. Aromas are heavy on hops and citrus types. Flavours are strongly hop influenced but also well balanced with barley malts and yeast is quite apparent in finish. Mostly citrus and some floral hop flavours. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Some bitterness on the palate but to be expected and quite welcome. really good stuff for the price and quantity.

Was quite surprised when I picked this one up at the IGA, that it was brewed by Brasseurs RJ. Looks like a Unibroue product (Big 750ml bottle, cork and cage) except for the front label, giving it away. Smells beautiful at first, with cereal (rye, wheat) grains, Belgian Ale yeast and loads of spices. Then, the hop starts up, with some grass and rusty notes. Golden colour with a hazy created from the small tiny particules floating around. Big foamy warm cap that stays long and gives out soapy lacing. The mouthfeel is pretty standard wetness, medium-bodied, with just a little warming effect. Very violent mid-sized bubbles for carbonation. Flavours are mild and all over the place. Mild dryness, bitterness, grass, Belgian yeast, spicy malts and grains. Pretty damn good for RJ, but just missing the nice blend for the taste. Might be a good thing to cellar one.
