Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangos, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish. FOOD PAIRINGS: Jalapeno poppers, grilled lamb, spicy Thai dishes, caramel cheesecake CHEESE PAIRINGS: Sharp Cheddar, Roquefort GLASSWARE: Snifter or Tulip ALC/VOL: 8.6 BITTERNESS: 100 IBU MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Victory HOPS: Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.7%. Hazy deep golden colour, large white head. Strong hoppy aroma of oranges / orange marmalade and grapefruit, hints of caramel and pine needles. The flavour is first fruity and fresh, then a ferocious attack of piney and grapefruity American "C"-hops sets in, and leaves you with a massive bitter finish - all on a background of medium sweet crystal malts.

Pours a clear golden-amber colour with a big frothy yellowish head that stays long and creates nice foamy-creamy lace with designs. Aromas of thick green grass with lots of citrus fruits (tangerine, oranges), all with caramel malts. The mouthfeel starts off wet, medium-bodied, and end with just a little dryness. The bitterness builds up with time. Lots of oranges and grapefruit zest in the taste over cereal malts. Goes down well, but just not my type of DIPA.

The beer pours a slightly hazed golden orange colour with a generous off-white rocky head that lasts. The aroma is pine, citrus, caramel, and grains. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour has a sweet and sour complexity. Nice caramel notes balanced with citrus notes

Amber pour with a thin white head. Fair amount of lace. Fruity and malty with a crisp finish. Enjoyable for sure. Surprised to see the low reviews from others.

    12oz bottle -

It really wouldn't surprise me to find out that this is a reproduction of their 20th Anniversary IIPA because it had many similarities. A balanced approach to the aroma and palate was well served. Aroma of orange juice with pine needles. Flavor of grapefruits with white sugar...bitter but sweet enough not to be harsh.

Bomber from BCLDB Nordel Crossing. 8.7% ABC and 100 IBU. Fluffy white head over a pour of clear amber-orange. Strong, robust aroma of pine I mean redwood and citrus. Strong flavour too, with the redwood (not pine) and citrus, and what a ton of hops, too! Solid mouthfeel. Hoppy and bitter finish.

Another bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Golden amber pour, tight white head, decent lacing. Nicely hopped aroma and flavoring, grapefruits, citrus, piney, then a big ole dose of malts to balance. Drinks way under the 8.7% ABV, which makes it quite sneaky.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a huge meringue off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet sugary crystal malts and tropical fruits with some resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet crystal like malts with tropical fruits and a decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is light bodied and very watery.

Overall, I like the fruits and hops but the flavors don't combine well and it was overly sweet. It's really washed out and watery too.

Hops hops hops tons of the hops. Aroma is hoppy. Tangerine, lemon, malt, bitter. Hints of sour in the aroma. Very distracted for this review. This is just a big IIPA with nothing to special. Hit candy elements. Dirty caramel malts, citrus, big bitter finish. Good beer

Vibrant hop profile of citrus, pine and wood. Big ol' white head and thick lacing on a dark copper body. Bitter with accentuated malts and easy going overall for an imperial. Hops are more dank in the flavor and a nice lightly burnt caramel pulls through. Decent offering, but nothing crazy.
